Marine ranching is the use of the sea as a farm for the management and cultivation of seafood and seaweed. In the marine ranching planning promoted by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, studies are being done on a hybrid cultivation system where several types of seafood coexist and continue to propagate.
