At the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s Matsugamine wireless relay station in Kitaotari-mura, Nagano Prefecture, a hybrid power generation system employing 160 photovoltaic modules and three wind power generators creates clean energy. High disaster-risk sites are monitored with cameras or sensors, and that information is transmitted to various locations from the Matsugamine relay station. This system helps to ensure the stable operation of the disaster prevention system introduced after large-scale landslide disasters in the past.
